How can i fix my slice in golf.?

Posted by admin

Any advice on stance or swing

ok there are a couple things that could be causing you to slice. first check your grip. this video shows you pretty well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r08cVyCoNCQ

if that doesnt fix it then your swing is not on plane. you are most likely coming over the top. try putting the emblem on your golf ball pointing towards your back right foot. then when you swing think 7 11. with 12 o clock right in front of you and 6 behind you try to swing from7 to 11 o clock and hit the emblem of the ball.

golf slicing problem?

Posted by admin

I am using a 45.5 inch mizuno mx560 driver which is a little long for my height. Whenever I hit it, I slice the ball really bad. Are there any way I could fix this beside chocking down on the grip because that didn’t seem to work either.Thank you.

move the ball forward in your stance so the club head is making a square impact through the plane.

I am also a left handed golfer and the solution to fixing your slice is all in the wrists. When you slice the ball, that means you are not turning your wrists over fast enough. When you "duck hook" the ball that means you are turning them over too fast. You also need to make sure with the driver that you are standing further away from the ball and that you are standing tall.

What am i doing wrong?

Posted by admin

I play golf about 3-4 times a week, and lately I’ve practicing more than i play due to the fact that its winter in new jersey and its always cold and rainy here, and i have been going to the range to try to fix my slice. my driver is broken and is being fixed at titleist, my new irons are at golfworks so i’m using these clunky old lynx clubs (and i don’t even know what shaft is on them), and i keep hitting slices rather than my usual draw. I was working out a lot but then i changed my routine from power lifting type exercises (squat, bench, deadlift) to using lighter weights and more reps, and doing a lot of chin ups and ab work , and i recently quit smoking. i’m used to shooting in the low 70’s and now i cant even break 80. what am i doing wrong?

Its obvious. You are using your spare clubs which you are not used to (and aren’t the best make). Get your usual clubs back fast before its too late.
