Beginning Frisbee Golf … Tips?

Posted by admin

I want to try playing frisbee golf, it seems to be growing in popularity on my college campus. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice. Should I buy a full set of frisbees to start off, or just one until i get a feel for it? What type of strategy is involved?? Any and all tips and advice are appreciated.

To start all you need is a driver& a putter. Then build from there.
When getting a driver they will have a number on it.(# = weight in grams) I recommend you start with a lighter one. as a beginner
you will
throw farther&straighter. have fun it is a blast. (especially with BEER)

Golf Dress Code? And Golf Tips?

Posted by admin

Im going on a date with a guy and this will be my first time going to a golf course. He said he’ll help me with my golfing but i still want some tips. i have no idea what to wear, what not to wear and were i can get these clothes. And if this date goes well then i’ll probley do it more with him. So i want them to last. And do you need golf shoes at every golf course?i also dont want to get a outfit that will make me look ugly.
and i want some good tips to try to not embarsse myself in front of him. if thats even possible

If you are first time golfer, you are going to have problems. Everyone has been there, even your new date.

Wear some nice shorts or slacks and a shirt with a collar and you should be fine. Shorts should not be too short and be sure your midriff is covered. Polos work well. Golf shoes are not necessary.

So, finally my gf showed interest in learning how to golf, which make me as happy as little child on x-mas morning. Anyway, I bought her all the equipment, clothes, etc. (I’m proably more excited about her new hobby than she is.) I think its fair to say she sucks. Because frankly she does, and besides shes just beginning. The sucking part is OK, it’s her attitude. She get offended when I tell her shes doing something wrong. I also don’t think she takes my advice serious (BTW, I have a lot of experience golfing). She has potential and I can’t wait for the day we can go golfing together, but she has really bad attitude. And snaps at me when I tell her what to do. Any advice on better training techniques?

Here’s a great tip learned from hard experience: find someone else to teach her, preferably a PGA Professional. Two reasons: a) she’s always going to take your "advice" personally vs. the Pro’s and b) frankly, she’ll get better instruction and ultimately have more fun playing the game.

If you know of any magazines please let me know. Would prefer free but any will work. Tryn to get some ideas. Thanks

There are no free magazines because it is a buisness, but most magazines have an website with the same content as the magazine, but free and public for anyone that will look. I subscribe to these magazines:

(they are partner magazines)

and you can look on the homepage and they always have their articles on the front page, and you can view them, and look in their archives. Here are the most recent articles in their magazine, and I’m sure you can find others

As was already mentioned, make sure everything is in alignment: toes, knees, hips, shoulders, and eyes. Try to get your eyes right over the putting line.

Next, use the big muscles of the back and shoulders to strike the ball. Don’t get your wrists or hands involved in the stroke.

You might also try different gripping methods like left-hand low or the claw.

During practice, try putting while looking at the hole, not the ball.

Make sure the stroke makes the ball roll end over end without skipping.
